Winners of the All-Russian Jazz Composers' Competition at the St. Petersburg Jazz Festival in the "Instrumental Jazz Piece" category.

Irina Margolina is a vibrant pianist from St. Petersburg, a representative of the new wave of jazz musicians, the leader of a quintet and trio, as well as a composer and arranger who embodies her ideas in instrumental compositions. She admits that her piece "Russian Soul" is about the strength of the Russian people. "When difficult times come, and it seems there is no way out, people always find the strength to move on," the pianist says.
