People call them generation «next» or musicians of a new jazz. Being in the great demand as a sideman in many Russian and international projects musicians also appear as valid composers and leaders of their own groups. Arrangements of Anton Revnyuk can be heard in the repertoire of jazz and pop singers, compositions of Evgeny Lebedev have been used in films, theaters and dance productions in Russia and abroad. Ignat Kravtsov is one of the most extraordinary and important drummers in Russia. They all experiment with different styles of music. In January 2015, they have released an album called «Open Strings» on Igor Butman’s label with the participation of a string quartet, whereby the sound of the ensemble went far beyond the jazz mainstream. You can hear the Russian classical tradition, and elements of free jazz, musical sketches and shapes in the spirit of the French Impressionists. Nevertheless it is a modern jazz. As the musicians say: "We do not try to drive our music in the framework of a certain style, and just play what we want to listen."
