LRK Trio

Beginning of the XXI century was one of the most significant time for Russian culture. The end of the Soviet Union's period with its famous standardisation of art and creativity has finally revealed lots of hidden opportunities for creative artists. At that time the new generation of well-educated musicians started their professional careers. Being well experienced in jazz and classical styles, their interest and aspirations go far beyond mainstream. This might be the reason why critics call LRK Trio as “ a new breed ” and “ the main driving power ” of today’s music . Over a decade Evgeny Lebedev, Anton Revnyuk and Ignat Kravtsov did gain their reputation of the big stage top-notch players who work together with the world famous artists as Marcus Miller, Gregory Porter, Steve Turre, Randy Brecker, Jack DeJohnette, George Garzone. In their music LRK Trio easily blend together the elements of jazz, folk, free improvisations and impressionistic musical images with respect to the Russian classical traditions.

Their debut album “Open Strings“ released in 2015 under Igor Butman’s label was recognized by critics and got included in Europe Jazz Media Chart by association of jazz journalists. LRK Trio is always working with famous international musicians, such as harmonica player Olivier Ker Ourio, who is featured on recent release “If You Have a Dream” , 2017.
